Drew Barrymore tried to 'numb the pain'
by drinking after divorce
In a new interview with Humans magazine, Barrymore opened
up about how her long-awaited dream of a family
of her own slowly crumbled after she divorced
her ex-husband Will Kopelman in 2016.
"After the life I planned for my kids wasn't a training session, I almost think
it became more difficult than the things
It was It became these kids that I cared so much about. And
then I probably cared so much
that it was better to give to them
and not take care of myself.
It became a messy, painful, excruciating walk around
the house and they're back to life
Barrymore has two children with Kopelman, daughters Olive and
Frankie, aged 10 and 8 respectively.
When he opened up about his divorce from her,
Barrymore said he didn't get dramatic or far-fetched anymore.
