'From the moment he came back Shikhar Dhawan launches
big comment on Indian youth
Veteran Indian starter Shikhar Dhawan had nothing but
reward for one of Team India's rising stars
ahead of the second World Cup (ODI) against
hosts Bangladesh on Tuesday.
The senior batsman may be itching to make amends after
an overall mediocre performance in the opener of the India-Bangladesh series.
The Rohit Sharma led India side were stunned by an energetic Bangladesh side in
the first ODI of the in-form 3 series on Sunday.
Dhawan, who opened the innings for captain Rohit in the first ODI, only controlled
to score seven from 17 balls at the Shere Bangla National Stadium.
Sharing his views ahead of the Asian group decider, former substitute captain
Dhawan praised all-rounder Washington Sundar.
Addressing the media on the eve of
the second ODI against the hosts
senior batsman Dhawan claimed that Sundar has the ability to
become a "high-quality" all-rounder for the two-time world champions.
