Mrs Brown's Boys star confirms future of BBC sitcom
after Christmas specials
Mrs Brown's Boys star Brendan O'Carroll has finally
revealed the future of the comedy show
Irish actor Brendan O'Carroll has confirmed that there
will be a new four-part series of the BBC sitcom
The 67-year-old comedian created the show in 2011 and stars in the title role
as Angus Brown alongside various members of his family.
“But Covid got in the way. The BBC were adamant that they
wanted to get four episodes, so we thought
"So we hope to do the Mrs. Brown four-part miniseries and then two more
Christmas specials at the end of the year as well."
It comes after the emotional comedian shared
his gratitude for the long run of the show
“I love it, it gives me goosebumps that Mrs. Brown
has become a part of Christmas,” he gushed.
“Because in my day that was Morecambe and Wise.
It wasn't Christmas without Morecambe and Wise. So it's a buzz."
