Newport Information: A 6-Year-Old Boy Detained After Capturing A Coach In The US.

A six-12-month-old boy was detained by police after seizing a teacher in the US state of Virginia, authorities say.

The photo taking occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. local time (7:00 p.m. GMT) at Richneck High School in the city of Newport,

It's unclear how the boy received the gun, but Drew said the incident no longer turned into "unintentional photo taking."

The teacher, who has not now been named and is said to be in her 30s, was left with life-threatening injuries to herself.

She was taken to a local health center and she is being closely monitored by doctors. The incident occurred in a first grade classroom

But Drew emphasized that the photo taking was a remote incident, saying officers "didn't have a situation where someone was walking

Officials said that while the college, which has around 550 students, had steel screening facilities, students were randomly tested

Police refused to identify the weapon used in the incident, however, they said the boy had used a gun.
