The Chargers surpass
the Colts and achieve the first
INDIANAPOLIS - I.A. Chargers safety Derwin
James Jr. raised his fist as he hopped around in a Santa
hat as director of education
Brandon Staley put his arm around owner
Dean Spanos and handed him a game ball.
"I was hoping to give him a game point considering
the fact that he came," Staley yelled. "He's
been a patient. He's invested in this team.
He's delivered to anyone
collectively ... Game ball, playoff appearance: Dean Spanos."
Spanos, Staley and the Bolts had a lot to
celebrate in the visitor's locker room at Lucas Oil Field after defeating
the downtrodden Indianapolis Colts 20-3 on Monday night.
For the first time since 2018, the Chargers will return
the postseason, having clinched a playoff
spot after improving to 9-6, with final games in the regular season.
